must be the season of the witch

Hello October!

Dave would like to plead his case that ginger cats be just as celebrated (or even MORE celebrated)
as black cats during this season of all things Halloween and witchery.

Point 1 – October starts with O… which is also the beginning of orange, which is in fact, the hue of our dear gingers. Although, we do prefer the term ginger, as it gives the true sense of our posh nature.

Point 2 – Gingers are a perfect color match to those utterly ridiculous pumpkins humans set out as a decoration. So on the off chance one of those pitiful decorations “accidentally” gets knocked off the steps, we will gladly sit in their place. Everyone will comment on what an ingenious idea it is to use a godlike creature to add a splash of color. You can thank me later.

Point 3 – Gingers compliment the colors of those falling nuisances you call leaves. Just imagine the photo shoot you could get if you could persuade a ginger to be a part of the obligatory autumn pile-of-leaves photo. Your instagram would probably go viral.

Point 4 – Black cats are simply overrated.

I don’t know about you, but I’m convinced.

welcome to this place….

there’s just something about babies, isn’t there?

the freshness…
the newness…
the little fingers and toes…
the joy.

this little person is going to be a big person someday.
so much to learn and discover…
the wonder of this great big world to such a small fellow…
growing.

and i’ve just decided that growing isn’t the right word…
becoming… becoming is the right word.
he won’t just be growing…
he’ll be becoming.

i can’t wait to see what he’ll become.
